FLOW photo challenge — day 23: I did it myself

Posted in creativity, drawings

Snakes and Ladders game — 20 in. x 20 in.
Black ink & colouring pencils on cardboard.

I started this project at my friend Céline’s home in August 2011. Working on it off and on as I moved from Verdun to Hochelaga-Maisonneuve to Saint-Jovite and back to Verdun, I figure it took me about 100 hours to complete. By July 2015, it was ready… just in time for Céline’s birthday. She wants to have it framed — what an honour!

FLOW photo challenge — day 19: letters of the alphabet

SLOPPY TYPOS (inspired by Sloppy Joes)

From the archives of my lives (yes, liveS), here’s the work I did in 2002 for my computer graphics course. We had to draw — old school, by hand — our initials using serif fonts. I went a little crazy and created this cartoon starring the letters M and L:

this morning’s reflections over peanut butter toasts

PEANUT BUTTER TOAST

This morning’s reflections
over peanut butter toasts:

The strong must help the weak.

What if I’m stronger
than I think I am?
